<Title>EXPLANATORY NOTE</Title>

</Comment>
<P><Text>These Regulations amend the Plant Protection Products Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2011 (the principal Regulations) by a few minor technical amendments.</Text></P>
<P><Text>Regulation 3 amends the Principal Regulations by inserting a definition of “the Secretary of State”.</Text></P>
<P><Text>Regulation 24(4) is deleted as section 8(b) of the Protection of Animals Act 1911 has been repealed.</Text></P>
<P><Text>Schedule 2 is amended to substitute for “the Department”, wherever it appears, “the Secretary of State” as the list of adjuvants will be maintained by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.</Text></P>
