Amendment of the Plant Protection Products Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2011 2 The Plant Protection Products Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2011 are amended as follows: Amendment to Regulation 2 3 In regulation 2(1) (general interpretation) after the definition of “Regulation 1107/2009” insert— “the Secretary of State” means the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs : . Amendment to Regulation 24 4 Regulation 24(4) shall be deleted. Amendment to Schedule 1 5 In Schedule 1 (Power of Authorised Persons), paragraph 8(1)(a) and 8(3) for “regulations 8 to 18” substitute “regulation 22”. 6 In Schedule 1 (Power of Authorised Persons), paragraph 8(1)(b) for “unlikely” substitute “likely”. Amendment to Schedule 2 7 In Schedule 2 (Adjuvants) for “the Department” wherever it appears, substitute “the Secretary of State”. These Regulations amend the Plant Protection Products Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2011 (the principal Regulations) by a few minor technical amendments.

Regulation 3 amends the Principal Regulations by inserting a definition of “the Secretary of State”.

Regulation 24(4) is deleted as section 8(b) of the Protection of Animals Act 1911 has been repealed.

Schedule 2 is amended to substitute for “the Department”, wherever it appears, “the Secretary of State” as the list of adjuvants will be maintained by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
