<Text>The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development being a Department designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972<FootnoteRef Ref="f00001"/> in relation to the common agricultural policy of the European Union<FootnoteRef Ref="f00002"/>, and measures in the veterinary and phytosanitary fields for the protection of public health<FootnoteRef Ref="f00003"/>, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by the said section 2(2), makes the following Regulations:-</Text></Para>
