The Department of the Environment being a Department designated (1) for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972(2) in relation to the making of measures relating to basic safety standards for health protection of the general public and workers against the dangers of ionising radiation, in exercise of the powers conferred by that section makes the following Regulations:
