This Order provides for the coming into operation of the remaining provision (paragraph (2)(d)) of Article 118 of the Pensions (Northern Ireland) Order 2005— for the purpose only of authorising the making of regulations, on 23rd June 2009; and for all other purposes, on 21st July 2009.

Article 118(2)(d) allows the Board of the Pension Protection Fund to give a relevant person directions regarding the exercise, during an assessment period in relation to an eligible scheme, of that person’s powers in respect of prescribed matters.
