The Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (General) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009

Coming into operation-
The Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland, in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 5 of the Pharmacy (Northern Ireland) Order 19761, makes the following Regulations with the approval of the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety2

Citation, commencement and interpretation

1.

(1)

These Regulations may be cited as the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (General) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009 and shall come into operation on 1st June 2009.

2.

In these Regulations “the principal Regulations” means the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (General) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 19943.

Amendment of the principal Regulations

3.

In regulation 2 of the principal Regulations (registration fees) for “£345” there shall be substituted “£372”.

4.

In regulation 3 of the principal Regulations (restoration fees) for “£112” there shall be substituted “£121”.

5.

In regulation 4 of the principal Regulations (retention fees)–

(a)

in paragraph (1)(a) for “£345” there shall be substituted “£372”;

(b)

in paragraph (2)(a) for “£158” there shall be substituted “£170”;

(c)

in paragraph (2)(b) for “£126” there shall be substituted “£372”

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (General) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1994 (S.R.1994 No.202) by increasing fees payable in respect of—

(d)

registration as a pharmaceutical chemist (regulation 2);

(e)

restoration of a person’s name to the register (regulation 3);

(f)

retention fees payable in respect of members of the society (regulation 4).
