SOCIAL SECURITY
Where a disablement pension with unemployability supplement is increased in respect of one or more children or qualifying young persons and the beneficiary is one of two persons who are spouses or civil partners residing together or who are living together as husband and wife or civil partners, paragraph 4(4) of Schedule 7 to the Social Security Contributions and Benefits (Northern Ireland) Act 1992 provides that the increase shall not be payable in respect of the first child or qualifying young person if the other person’s earnings are £180 a week or more and in respect of further children or qualifying young persons for each complete £24 by which the earnings exceed £180. This Order increases the amounts of £180 and £24 to £185 and £25 respectively.

Citation and commencement1
This Order may be cited as the Social Security (Industrial Injuries) (Dependency) (Permitted Earnings Limits) Order (Northern Ireland) 2008 and shall come into operation on 9th April 2008.
