The Office of the First Minister and deputy First Minister, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 22(3A), 24(4A) and (5), 24K(3), 24L(1), 67(3) and 68(1) of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995(1) and now vested in it(2) makes the following Regulations:

1995 c.50. Sections 22(3A) and 24(4A) were inserted by paragraphs 14 and 16(4) of Schedule 1 to the Disability Discrimination (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 (S.I. 2006 No. 312 (N.I.1)) (“the 2006 Order”); sections 24A to 24L were inserted by Article 14 of the 2006 order; section 67(3) and section 68(1) are modified in their application to Northern Ireland by paragraphs 46 and 47 of Schedule 8; section 68(1), which was amended by paragraph 26 of Schedule 1 to the 2006 Order, is an interpretation provision and is cited for the definitions of “prescribed” and “regulations”.
