This Order provides for an increase in the annual salary payable to the Comptroller and Auditor General following recommendations made in the Report of the Review Body on Senior Salaries in 2007 (HMSO CM 7030).

The increase, which is to be staged, is made with effect from 1^st April 2007 and 1^st November 2007 under Article 4(1) of the Audit (Northern Ireland) Order 1987.

Article 2 revokes the Salaries (Comptroller and Auditor General) Order (Northern Ireland) 2006 SR 302/06, which took effect from 1^st April 2006.
