The Brucellosis Control (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2005

Coming into operation

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development 1, makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by Articles 5(1), 10(6), 18(7), 19, 44, 46(7A) and 60(1) of, and paragraph 5(1) of Part I and paragraph 5(1) of Part II of Schedule 2 to, the Diseases of Animals (Northern Ireland) Order 19812.

Citation and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Brucellosis Control (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2005 and shall come into operation on 12th January 2006.

Amendment of the Brucellosis Control Order (Northern Ireland) 20042

In paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 to the Brucellosis Control Order (Northern Ireland) 20043 for the word “Ballyclare” there shall be substituted the word “Ballymena”.

This Order amends Schedule 1 to the Brucellosis Control Order (Northern Ireland) 2004.

Under paragraph 2 of Schedule 1, certain markets are required to submit returns to the Department. The list of markets is amended by the removal of Ballyclare which has now closed and the inclusion of Ballymena.
