SCHEDULE 2 ADDITIONAL STANDARDS OF GOOD AGRICULTURAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITION THAT APPLY IN RELATION TO LAND SET ASIDE FOR THE PROVISION OF NON-FOOD CROPS

Application of fertilisers and waste to land set aside for the provision of non-food crops

A farmer may only apply fertiliser or waste to land set aside for the provision of non-food crops so far as –

(a) it is necessary to do so in order to ensure the proper growth of the crops; and

(b) the manner of application is consistent with the Code of Good Agricultural Practice for the Prevention of Pollution of Water(1) and the Code of Good Agricultural Practice for the Prevention of Pollution of Air and Soil(2), published by the Department.
