The Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000 (Commencement No. 5) Order 2003

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 79 of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 20001, hereby makes the following Order:

1.

This Order may be cited as the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000 (Commencement No. 5) Order 2003.

2.

Schedule 3 to the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000 (district policing partnerships) shall come into force on 11th February 2003.

3.

Part 5 of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000 (economy, efficiency and effectiveness) shall come into force on 28th February 2003.

This Commencement Order brings into force those provisions of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000 which are not already in force. It brings into force, on 11th February 2003, Schedule 3 to the Act (district policing partnerships) and, on 28th February 20003, Part 5 of the Act.
