12.—(1) Disinfection under this Order shall be carried out with a disinfectant approved for the purpose under the Diseases of Animals (Approval of Disinfectants) Order (Northern Ireland) 1972(1).
(2) Acaricides used under this Order shall be those registered under the Control of Pesticides Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1987(2) or authorised under [F1Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 May 2012 concerning the making available on the market and use of biocidal products] [F2, as last amended by Regulation (EU) No 334/2014].
