The Housing Renovation etc. Grants (Grant Limit) Order (Northern Ireland) 2003
Citation and commencement1.
This Order may be cited as the Housing Renovation etc. Grants (Grant Limit) Order (Northern Ireland) 2003 and shall come into operation on 1st December 2003.
Maximum amount2.
(1)
The maximum amount of grant which the Executive may pay in respect of an application for –
(a)
a renovation grant or a common parts grant is £25,000;
(b)
a disabled facilities grant is, subject to paragraph (2), F1£35,000;
(c)
an HMO grant is £30,000; and
(d)
a replacement grant is £31,500.
(2)
In relation to an application for a disabled facilities grant in respect of works for any of the purposes specified in Article 54(1) of the Housing (Northern Ireland) Order 2003 the Executive may, if it thinks fit, pay a further amount in excess of F2£35,000 subject to the total amount of grant not exceeding F3£70,000.
Total amount or value of home repair assistance grant3.
The total amount or value of home repair assistance grant that the Executive may give in respect of the same dwelling in any period of 3 years shall not exceed £5,000.
Application4.
This Order shall not have effect in relation to an application for a grant made before 1st December 2003.
Revocation and savings5.

The Housing Renovation etc. Grants (Grant Limit) Order (Northern Ireland) 1996 shall continue to apply to an application for a grant made before 1st December 2003.

This Order makes provision in relation to the amount of housing grants that the Housing Executive may pay.
Article 2(1) specifies the maximum amount of grant which the Housing Executive may pay for Renovation, Common Parts, Disabled Facilities, Replacement and HMO grant applications.
Article 2(2) enables the Housing Executive to pay a higher maximum amount of mandatory disabled facilities grant.
Article 3 makes provision relating to the amount or value of Home Repair Assistance grant that the Executive may give.
Article 4 provides that the Order does not apply to an application for a grant made before the Order comes into operation.
Article 5 makes provision for revocations and savings.
