The State Pension Credit (2002 Act) (Commencement No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2003

The Department for Social Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 21(2) of the State Pension Credit Act (Northern Ireland) 20021 and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation1.

This Order may be cited as the State Pension Credit (2002 Act) (Commencement No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2003.

Appointed day2.

The day appointed for the coming into operation of section 14 of the State Pension Credit Act (Northern Ireland) 2002 in so far as it relates to paragraph 3 of Schedule 2 to that Act is 27th January 2003 for the purpose only of exercising any power to make regulations.

This Order appoints 27th January 2003 as the day for the coming into operation of section 14 of the State Pension Credit Act (Northern Ireland) 2002 in so far as it relates to paragraph 3 of Schedule 2 to that Act (consequential amendments affecting housing benefit) for the purpose of making regulations.

This Order does not impose a charge on business.

The following provisions of the State Pension Credit Act (Northern Ireland) 2002 have been brought into operation by the State Pension Credit (2002 Act) (Commencement No. 1) Order (Northern Ireland) 2002. Only section 18 has been brought fully into operation. The other provisions have been brought into operation partially for the purpose only of exercising any power to make regulations or orders.
