class="para1" eId="regulation-8-a"><num>(a)</num><content><p><mod>Paragraph 1 of Schedule 8 to the <abbr title="Royal Ulster Constabulary Reserve (Full-time) (Appointment and Conditions of Service) Service) Regulations 1996 (S.R. 1996/564)">principal Regulations</abbr> (replacement allowance) shall be amended as follows.</p></content></paragraph><paragraph (Full-time) (Appointment and Conditions of Service) Regulations 1996 (S.R. 1996/564)">1996 Regulations</abbr>”).</p></blockContainer><blockContainer ukl:Name="P"><p>Regulation 2 makes provision for the last Bank Holiday in May to be replaced with the 3rd and 4th June for the year 2002.</p></blockContainer><blockContainer ukl:Name="P"><p>Regulations 3, 5 and 7 replace the pay scales formerly set out in Schedule 4 to the <abbr title="Royal Ulster Constabulary Reserve (Full-time) (Appointment and Conditions of Service) Regulations 1996 (S.R. 1996/564)">1996 Regulations</abbr> with a provision that the pay of members of the police force will be determined by the Secretary of State.</p></blockContainer><blockContainer ukl:Name="P"><p>Regulation 4 makes provision for part-time workers, including those taking part in job-share arrangements. In particular provision is made relating to the members' normal period of duty and pay and allowances.</p></blockContainer><blockContainer ukl:Name="P"><p>Regulations 6 and 8 increase the amounts of certain allowances.</p></blockContainer><blockContainer ukl:Name="P"><p>By virtue of regulation 1(2), the regulations there cited have effect from dates before the coming into force of these Regulations.
