These Regulations correct an error in the Maternity and Parental Leave etc. (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2002 (S.R. 2002 No. 110). They amend the provisions relating to parental leave in the Maternity and Parental Leave etc. Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1999 (“the principal Regulations”) (S.R. 1999 No. 471). These provisions implement in Northern Ireland Council Directive 96/34/EC on the framework agreement on parental leave.
