The day appointed for the coming into operation of—

(a)

sections 29, 30 and 33 and Schedule 4 (state second pension)—

(i)

for the purpose only of authorising the making of orders under sections 38, 38B and 41A of the Pension Schemes (Northern Ireland) Act 19932, is 1st February 2001, and

(ii)

for all other purposes, is 6th April 2002;

(b)

section 32 (revaluation) in so far as not already in operation, is 1st February 2001; and

(c)

section 31 (calculation of Category B retirement pension) in so far as not already in operation and Part II of Schedule 9 and section 67 in so far as it relates to that Part, is 9th April 2001.
