The Department of the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Articles 5(3) and (4) and 218(1) of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1981(1) and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, and in accordance with Article 19C(3)(2) of that Order with the approval of the Department of Finance and Personnel(3) as regards regulation 2, hereby makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Amendment No. 2) (Test Fees) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2001 and shall come into operation on 8th October 2001.
2. In regulation 24 (fees for theory tests) of the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1996(4) for “£16·50” there shall be substituted “£17·00”.

These Regulations amend the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1996 by increasing the fee for a theory test from £16·50 to £17·00.
