(This note is not part of the Regulations.)
These Regulations revoke and replace the General Grant (Specified Bodies) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1994. The bodies specified for the purposes of Article 4(3) of the Local Government &c. (Northern Ireland) Order 1972, (as added by Article 41 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Northern Ireland) Order 1985) are amended to take account of the amalgamation of:—
(a)the National Joint Council for Local Authorities' Administrative, Professional Technical and Clerical Services with the National Joint Council for Local Authorities' Services (Manual Workers), which is now known as the National Joint Council for Local Government Services; and
(b)the Northern Ireland Joint Council for Local Authorities' Administrative, Professional Technical and Clerical Services with the Northern Ireland Joint Industrial Council for Local Authorities' Services (Manual Workers), which is now known as the Northern Ireland Joint Council for Local Government Services.
