Citation, commencement and interpretation1.
(1)
These Regulations may be cited as the Housing Benefit (General) (Amendment No. 4) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2000 and shall come into operation on 25th August 2000.

Amendment of regulation 2B of the Housing Benefit (General) Regulations2.
(a)
in paragraph (a) “or” shall be omitted;
(b)
“; or
(c)
to a claim for a further grant of housing benefit made before 5th September 2000 under regulation 72(11) to (13) (time and manner in which claims are to be made).”.

These Regulations further amend the Housing Benefit (General) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1987.
Regulation 2 provides, in cases where a claim for a further grant of housing benefit is made or invited before 5th September 2000, an exemption from the requirements in respect of national insurance numbers imposed by section 1 of the Social Security Administration (Northern Ireland) Act 1992.
These Regulations do not impose any charge on business.
