<Text>The Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety<FootnoteRef Ref="f00001"/> in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Articles 15(1), 16(1), 25(1)(<Emphasis>a</Emphasis>) and (3), 26(3) and 47(2) of the Food Safety (Northern Ireland) Order 1991<FootnoteRef Ref="f00002"/> and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, having had regard in accordance with Article 47(3A) of the said Order to relevant advice given by the Food Standards Agency and after consultation in accordance with Article 47(3) of the said Order with such organisations as appear to it to be representative of interests likely to be substantially affected by the Regulations, hereby makes the following Regulations:—</Text>

<Text>These Regulations may be cited as the Infant Formula and Follow-on Formula (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2000 and shall come into operation on 1st July 2002.</Text>

<Text>at the end of each of paragraphs (2) and (6) of regulation 4 (composition of infant formulae and follow-on formulae) there shall be inserted</Text>

<Text>The Regulations extend the prohibitions in the 1995 Regulations on sale, or export to third countries, to food of that nature containing individual pesticide residues above a level of 0.01 mg/<Abbreviation Expansion="Kilogrammes">kg</Abbreviation>, measured when ready for use or when reconstituted according to manufacturer’s instructions (regulation 2(<Emphasis>b</Emphasis>)), and make consequential amendments (regulation 2(<Emphasis>a</Emphasis>)).</Text>
