Citation and commencement1.
These Regulations may be cited as the Razor Shells (Prohibition of Fishing) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2000 and shall come into operation on 16th June 2000.
Amendment of the Razor Shells (Prohibition of Fishing) Regulations 19982.
The Razor Shells (Prohibition of Fishing) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1998 shall be amended as follows:
In Regulation 2 (Interpretation) in the definition of “razor shells” for “Solenidae” there shall be substituted “Solenacea”.

These Regulations amend the Razor Shells (Prohibition of Fishing) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1998 which prohibit, subject to certain exemptions, any boat from fishing for razor shells by means of any type of dredge or suction dredge or retaining on board razor shells caught by any type of dredge or suction dredge, in waters within Dundrum Bay.
Regulation 2 amends the family name for razor shells from Solenidae to Solenacea.
