12.—(1) These Regulations shall not apply to or in relation to the master or crew of a sea-going ship or to the employer of such persons in respect of the normal ship-board activities of a ship’s crew under the direction of the master.
(2) These Regulations shall not apply to, or in relation to, an offshore installation to which the Offshore Installations (Safety Representatives and Safety Committees) Regulations 1989(1) apply.
(3) In this regulation, the expression “offshore installation” has the same meaning as it has in regulation 3 of the Offshore Installations and Pipeline Works (Management and Administration) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1995(2).
