For the purposes of section 40, where pipes in any land are vested in a water or sewerage undertaker, the undertaker shall be deemed to have an estate in the land.

In section 57, in the definition of “public body”, at the end add the words “and includes a water or sewerage undertaker”.

In Schedule 2, in paragraph 1(4), in the definition of “water authority” for the words from “any local” to the end substitute “a water undertaker”.
