4.Consultation with a wide range of relevant interests has been undertaken in relation to the provisions in the Order.
5.The Northern Ireland Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (NICCEA) has consulted widely with schools and others in developing its proposals for the revised curriculum. The development of the new arrangements for post-primary education has been the subject of extensive consultation. The Post-Primary Review Body consulted widely when it was developing its proposals. A consultation document entitled “Education for the 21st Century” was the subject of the most extensive consultation ever undertaken in the education sector.
