Commencement
10.Articles 1 (title and commencement) and 2 (interpretation) will come into effect on 19 February 2004.
11.The following provisions will come into operation on 26 February 2004:
Article 3 (football pools);
Article 4 and Schedule 1 (betting on tracks);
Article 11 (advertisement of bingo);
Article 12(1) and (2) (minor amendments); and
the repeals relating to the above contained in Article 12(3) and Schedule 4.
12.The following provisions will come into operation by commencement order:
Article 5(1) together with Schedules 2 and 3 (the transfer of responsibility for the grant of bookmaking office licences from courts of summary jurisdiction to county courts);
Article 6 (conduct of bookmaking offices);
Articles 8 to 10 (gaming machines, supplementary provisions with respect to the use of gaming machines in bookmaking offices and amusement permits; and
the repeals relating to the above contained in Article 12(3) and Schedule 4.
13.The remaining provisions of the Order will come into operation on 12 May 2004.
