In section 1(1) of the Costs in Criminal Cases Act (Northern Ireland) 1968 (c. 10) (expenses of prosecution of certain criminal proceedings to be defrayed by Secretary of State), for the words subject to subsection (3) there shall be substituted the words in accordance with arrangements approved by the Treasury.

In section 10 of that Act (interpretation), after subsection (1) there shall be inserted the following subsection—
