Introductory
Title and commencement
1. This Order may be cited as the Industrial Relations (Northern Ireland) Order 1993 and shall come into operation on such day or days as the Department of Economic Development may by order appoint.
Interpretation
2.—(1) The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954(1) shall apply to Article 1 and the following provisions of this Order as it applies to a Measure of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
(2) In this Order—
“the Act of 1965” means the Contracts of Employment and Redundancy Payments Act (Northern Ireland) 1965(2);
“the No. 1 Order” means the Industrial Relations (Northern Ireland) Order 1976(3);
“the No. 2 Order” means the Industrial Relations (No. 2) (Northern Ireland) Order 1976(4);
