1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) Order 1991.
(2) This Order shall come into operation on such days as the Head of the Department may by order appoint.
2.—(1) The [1954 c. 33 (N.I.)] Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954 shall apply to Article 1 and the following provisions of this Order as it applies to a Measure of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
(2) In this Order—
“the Department” means the Department of the Environment;
“the principal Order” means the [1981 NI 1] Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1981.
