1
A person shall not use or permit the use of a guard dog at any place unless a notice containing a warning that a guard dog is present is clearly exhibited at each entrance to that place.

A person who contravenes paragraph (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £200.
Control of guard dogs27
The Department may by order—
a
prohibit the use of a guard dog at any place unless a person who is capable of controlling the dog is present at that place;
b
make provision as to the control to be exercised over a guard dog while it is being used as a guard dog.
