52.—[F1(1)] If the Ministry is of the opinion that an emergency exists and thinks it necessary to do so in order to secure the effective continuance of any service under[F1 the health and [F2social care] legislation], the Ministry may direct that any functions conferred by or under[F1 the health and [F2social care] legislation] on any body or person shall during the period of the emergency be performed by such other body or person as the Ministry may specify in the direction.
[F3(2) In this Article and Article 53 “the health and [F2social care] legislation” means—
(a)this Order;
(b)the Adoption (Northern Ireland) Order 1987;
(c)the Health and Personal Social Services (Special Agencies) (Northern Ireland) Order 1990;
(d)the 1991 Order;
(e)the Health and Personal Social Services (Northern Ireland) Order 1994; and
(f)the Children (Northern Ireland) Order 1995.]

(h)the 2009 Act.]
