The Department for Communities makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(1) and (13) of the Period Products (Free Provision) Act (Northern Ireland) 20221. In accordance with section 2(8)(a) of that Act it has consulted with the public service bodies specified by these Regulations.
Citation and Commencement1.
These Regulations may be cited as the Period Products (Department for Communities Specified Public Service Bodies) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2025 and shall come into operation on XX Month 2025.
Specified public service bodies2.
The bodies listed in the Schedule are specified as public service bodies to which the duty in section 2(3) of the Period Products (Free Provision) Act (Northern Ireland) 2022 applies.

These Regulations specify the public service bodies within the functions of the Department for Communities that are subject to the duty to ensure that period products are obtainable free of charge by persons on their premises who need to use them.
