1—(1) The person for the time being holding the office of the Northern Ireland Public Services Ombudsman is by that name a corporation sole.N.I.
(2) The Ombudsman is not to be regarded—
(a)as the servant or agent of the Crown, or
(b)as enjoying any status, immunity or privilege of the Crown.
(3) Property held by the Ombudsman is not to be regarded as property of, or held on behalf of, the Crown.
(4) But the Ombudsman is a Crown servant for the purposes of the Official Secrets Act 1989.
