Powers to require information and documents: introductory70
The powers conferred by sections71, 72 and 73 are exercisable by a council for the purposes of—
(a)
enabling or assisting the council to exercise any function conferred on it by this Act in relation to any premises;
(b)
investigating whether any offence has been committed under this Act in relation to any premises.
