Untrue claim that HMO is licensed32

(1)

A person who is the owner or managing agent of an HMO commits an offence if the person—

(a)

claims that an HMO is licensed at a time when it is not licensed, and

(b)

does not have a reasonable excuse for making that claim.

(2)

A person guilty of an offence under this section is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £10,000.
