42.—(1) Article 73 (duty on Boards to refer cases to the tribunal) is amended as follows.
(2) In paragraph (1)—
(a)omit “or his guardianship”;
(b)omit “or 23”;
(c)for “2 years (or, if the patient has not attained the age of 16 years, one year)” substitute “one year”.
(3) In paragraph (3) for “periods” substitute “period”.
