A local authority in Wales must secure that there is made available to every person appointed as a clerk such training as the authority considers necessary to enable the body that appointed the clerk under section 23 of the Education Act 2002 to comply with any requirement under section 24 of this Measure.

A local authority in Wales may charge a fee for any training provided (and may charge different fees in different cases).

In this section, “clerk” means a clerk to the governing body of a maintained school in the local authority's area.
