Ancillary provisions
3.—(1) Section 21(1) (exchequer grants) of the 1949 Act(1)shall apply in relation to expenditure incurred by the Council in the exercise and performance of the functions to which article 2(a) relates as it applies in relation to expenditure incurred under that Act by a coast protection authority.
(2) Section 44(2) (regulations and orders) of the 1949 Act shall apply in relation to orders made by the Council by virtue of article 2(a) of this Order as it applies in relation to orders of a coast protection authority.
(3) Section 103 (powers of entry) of the 1976 Act shall apply in relation to the Council, and in relation to functions under that Act conferred on it by virtue of this Order, as it applies in relation to, and to the functions of, local authorities.
(4) The consent of the National Rivers Authority under section 98(8) of the 1976 Act shall not be required in respect of works executed by the Council.

Paragraph (c) of section 21(1) was repealed by Schedule 30 to the Local Government Act 1972.
