After exit day there will be three versions of this legislation to consult for different purposes. The legislation.gov.uk version is the version that applies in the UK. 1.For the purposes of the provisions of Union law on access to documents of the institutions, bodies, offices and agencies of the Union, all references to Member States and their authorities shall be understood as including the United Kingdom and its authorities in respect of documents drawn up by or obtained by the institutions, bodies, offices and agencies of the Union:
(a)before the end of the transition period; or
(b)after the end of the transition period in connection with activities of the Union pursuant to this Agreement.
2.Article 5 and Article 9(5) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council(1) and Article 5 of Decision ECB/2004/3 of the European Central Bank(2) shall apply in the United Kingdom in respect of all documents falling within the scope of those provisions obtained by the United Kingdom:
(a)before the end of the transition period; or
(b)after the end of the transition period in connection with activities of the Union pursuant to this Agreement.
