CHAPTER IVU.K.COMMUNICATIONS, PUBLICATION AND FINAL PROVISIONS

Article 31U.K.Submission and receipt of communications

1.The communications and submissions referred to in Article 30 shall be deemed to have been made on the date on which they are received by the [F1Secretary of State].

3.For communications and submissions of files made via electronic mail, the [F3Secretary of State] shall confirm receipt via electronic mail.

[F4The Secretary of State] shall attribute a file number to each new application for protection, for a [F5non-standard amendment, UK standard amendment or UK temporary amendment], communications concerning applications for [F6third country] standard amendments and communications concerning applications for [F6third country] temporary amendments.

The confirmation of receipt shall include at least the following elements:

(a)the file number;

(b)the name concerned;

(c)the date of receipt.

The [F7Secretary of State] shall notify and make available information and remarks regarding such communications and submission via electronic mail.
