                  <ref eId="c00001" href="https://webarchive.nationalarchives.gov.uk/eu-exit/https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=uriserv:OJ.L_.2017.295.01.0021.01.ENG">OJ L 295, 14.11.2017, p. 21</ref>.</p></authorialNote>, and in particular Article 17(1) thereof,</p><p>Having regard to the proposal from the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy,</p><p>Whereas:</p><blockContainer class="division" uk:name="division"><num>(1)</num><p>On 13 November 2017, the Council adopted Regulation (EU) 2017/2063.</p></blockContainer><blockContainer class="division" uk:name="division"><num>(2)</num><p>On 28 May 2018, the Council adopted conclusions on Venezuela stating that the elections held in Venezuela on 20 May 2018 were neither free nor fair and that the election and its outcome lacked any credibility as the electoral process did not ensure the necessary guarantees for inclusive and democratic elections.</p></blockContainer><blockContainer class="division" uk:name="division"><num>(3)</num><p>The conclusions called for the holding of fresh presidential elections in accordance with internationally recognised democratic standards and the Venezuelan constitutional order, and, in that context, for additional targeted and reversible restrictive measures that do not harm the Venezuelan population.</p></blockContainer><blockContainer class="division" uk:name="division"><num>(4)</num><p>In view of the situation in Venezuela, 11 persons should be included in the list of natural and legal persons, entities and bodies subject to restrictive measures in Annex IV to Regulation (EU) 2017/2063.</p></blockContainer><blockContainer class="division" uk:name="division"><num>(5)</num><p>Annex IV to Regulation (EU) 2017/2063 should therefore be amended accordingly,</p></blockContainer><p>HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:</p></preamble><body eId="body"><article eId="article-1"><num>Article 1</num><content><p>Annex IV to Regulation (EU) 2017/2063 is amended as set out in the Annex to this Regulation.</p></content></article><article eId="article-2"><num>Article 2</num><content><p>This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the <i>Official Journal of the European Union</i>.</p></content></article><hcontainer name="signatures"><intro><p>This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.</p></intro><hcontainer name="signatureBlock"><content><p>Done at Luxembourg, 25 June 2018.</p><p>
