                  <ref eId="c00001" href="https://webarchive.nationalarchives.gov.uk/eu-exit/https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=uriserv:OJ.L_.2013.121.01.0001.01.ENG">OJ L 121, 3.5.2013, p. 1</ref>.</p></authorialNote>, and in particular Article 4i thereof,</p><p>Having regard to the proposal from the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy,</p><p>Whereas:</p><blockContainer class="division" uk:name="division"><num>(1)</num><p>On 2 May 2013, the Council adopted Regulation (EU) No 401/2013.</p></blockContainer><blockContainer class="division" uk:name="division"><num>(2)</num><p>On 26 February 2018, the Council adopted conclusions condemning the ongoing widespread, systematic grave human rights abuses committed by the Myanmar/Burma military and security forces. The conclusions called for proposals for targeted restrictive measures against senior military officers of the Myanmar Armed Forces (Tatmadaw).</p></blockContainer><blockContainer class="division" uk:name="division"><num>(3)</num><p>On 26 April 2018, the Council adopted Regulation (EU) 2018/647<authorialNote class="footnote" eId="f00002" marker="2"><p>Council Regulation (EU) 2018/647 of 26 April 2018 amending Regulation (EU) No 401/2013 concerning restrictive measures in respect of Myanmar/Burma (<ref eId="c00002" href="https://webarchive.nationalarchives.gov.uk/eu-exit/https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=uriserv:OJ.L_.2018.108.01.0001.01.ENG">OJ L 108, 27.4.2018, p. 1</ref>).</p></authorialNote> which provides a legal framework for targeted restrictive measures against certain natural persons from the Myanmar Armed Forces (Tatmadaw) and the Border Guard Police responsible for serious human rights violations, for obstructing the provision of humanitarian assistance to civilians in need and for obstructing the conduct of independent investigations into alleged serious human rights violations or abuses.</p></blockContainer><blockContainer class="division" uk:name="division"><num>(4)</num><p>In view of the situation in Myanmar/Burma and the responsibility for human rights violations committed by parts of the Myanmar Armed Forces (Tatmadaw) and the Border Guard Police, seven persons should be included in the list of natural and legal persons, entities and bodies subject to restrictive measures in Annex IV to Regulation (EU) No 401/2013.</p></blockContainer><blockContainer class="division" uk:name="division"><num>(5)</num><p>Annex IV to Regulation (EU) No 401/2013 should be amended accordingly,</p></blockContainer><p>HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:</p></preamble><body eId="body"><article eId="article-1"><num>Article 1</num><content><p>Annex IV to Regulation (EU) No 401/2013 is amended as set out in the Annex to this Regulation.</p></content></article><article eId="article-2"><num>Article 2</num><content><p>This Regulation shall enter into force on the date of its publication in the <i>Official Journal of the European Union</i>.</p></content></article><hcontainer name="signatures"><hcontainer name="signatureBlock"><content><p>Done at Luxembourg, 25 June 2018.</p><p>
