Article 6U.K.Certification

1.The health certificates, as provided for in Articles 3, 4 and 5, shall be drawn up and issued in accordance with:

[F2(a)any applicable supplementary guarantees or conditions that the Secretary of State, with the consent of the Scottish Ministers (in relation to Scotland) and the Welsh Ministers (in relation to Wales), may specify in a document published for the purposes of this Article;]

[F3(b)any explanatory notes, as published by the appropriate authority from time to time.]

Article 7U.K.Period of validity of health certificates

1.The operator responsible for a consignment of equidae or of semen, ova or embryos of equidae intended for entry into [F5Great Britain] shall ensure that the consignment is presented to an approved border [F6control] post authorised for the consignment concerned no later than 10 days from the date of certification of the consignment in the third country of dispatch.

2.Where equidae are transported by sea, the period of 10 days referred to in paragraph 1 shall be extended by the time of transport on sea.
