1.Individual aircraft shall be subject to certification and shall be issued with a certificate of airworthiness and, where [F1regulations] referred to Article 19 so provide, a noise certificate.
Those certificates shall be issued upon application, when the applicant has demonstrated that the aircraft is in conformity with the design certified in accordance with Article 11, and that the aircraft is in condition for safe and environmentally compatible operation.
2.The certificates referred to in paragraph 1 of this Article shall remain valid as long as the aircraft and its engines, propellers, parts and non-installed equipment are maintained in accordance with [F2regulations] related to continuing airworthiness referred to in Article 17 and are in condition for safe and environmentally compatible operation.
