CHAPTER IVU.K.Transhipment

Article 57U.K.ICCAT transhipment declaration

1.The master or owner of the large-scale pelagic longline vessel shall, not later than 15 days after the transhipment, complete and transmit to its [F1fisheries administration] and to the coastal CPC the ICCAT transhipment declaration.

2.The master of the receiving carrier vessel shall, within 24 hours of the completion of the transhipment, complete and transmit to the ICCAT Secretariat, to the flag CPC of the large-scale pelagic longline vessel and to its [F1fisheries administration] the ICCAT transhipment declaration, along with its number in the ICCAT record of carrier vessels.

3.The master of the receiving carrier vessel shall, at least 48 hours before landing, transmit to the competent authorities of the landing State the ICCAT transhipment declaration, along with its number in the ICCAT record of carrier vessels.

4.All ICCAT species and any other species caught in association with those species landed in, or imported into, the area or territory of a CPC, either unprocessed or after having being processed on board, and which are transhipped at sea, shall be accompanied by the ICCAT transhipment declaration until the first sale has taken place.
