Carriers shall be allowed to transmit CSMs using other methods provided that these guarantee the level of security comparable to the SFTP. 2 CSMs may be transmitted either by: a selective reporting of individual CSMs as specified in Article 18a(6) of Regulation (EC) No 515/97; or b transfer of all CSMs generated, collected or maintained in the carrier's electronic records without selecting individual CSMs. Where a carrier transmits CSMs in accordance with point (b), the carrier accepts that the Commission and the Member States have access to and use those data in accordance with the conditions set out in Regulation (EC) No 515/97.
