Until the respective dates of deployment of the UCC Centralised Clearance for Import system (CCI) and the AES referred to in the Annex to Implementing Decision 2014/255/EU, the customs authorities involved in a centralised clearance authorisation shall cooperate to set out arrangements to ensure compliance with Article 179(4) and (5) of the Code.

Customs authorities may allow for means other than electronic data-processing techniques to be used for the exchange of information between customs authorities and between customs authorities and holders of authorisations for centralised clearance.
