Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,

Having regard to Council Regulation (EC) No 765/2006 of 18 May 2006 concerning restrictive measures in respect of Belarus

, and in particular Article 8a(1) thereof,

Having regard to the proposal of the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy,

Whereas:

On 18 May 2006, the Council adopted Regulation (EC) No 765/2006.

On 25 February 2016, the Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2016/280 amending Decision 2012/642/CFSP concerning restrictive measures against Belarus

Council Decision (CFSP) 2016/280 of 25 February 2016 amending Decision 2012/642/CFSP concerning restrictive measures against Belarus (see page 30 of this Official Journal).

, extending the application of the restrictive measures until 28 February 2017 and amending Annex I and deleting Annex II to that Decision.

Annex I to Regulation (EC) No 765/2006 should therefore be amended accordingly,
