Article 16Final provisions

1.

This Regulation shall not preclude the application of:

(a)

any special rules laid down in agreements concluded between the Union and third countries;

(b)

special measures, provided that such action does not run counter to obligations pursuant to the Shipbuilding Agreement.

An investigation pursuant to this Regulation shall not be carried out and measures shall not be imposed or maintained where such measures would be contrary to the Union's obligations emanating from the Shipbuilding Agreement or any other relevant international agreement.

This Regulation shall not prevent the Union from fulfilling its obligations under the provisions of the Shipbuilding Agreement concerning dispute settlement.
